WEEK 1 - THE SPIRITUAL MAN

 

Day 1 – Follow the Leader

 

Key Verse

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Mark 1:17)

Devotion

Every team has a leader.

 

On a football team, there is a quarterback. On a military squad, there is a commander. On a hiking trip, there is someone leading the way down the trail. Life is no different. The question isn’t whether you are following someone. The question is: Who are you following?

 

Many boys follow whatever is popular. Some follow athletes. Others follow influencers, entertainers, or friends. The problem is people will eventually disappoint you. Heroes fall. Trends change. Popularity fades. Jesus never changes.

 

When Jesus walked along the Sea of Galilee, He gave a simple invitation: “Follow me.” He didn’t say, “Follow a religion.” He said, “Follow me.”

 

Being a Christian is not just believing facts about Jesus. It is choosing every day to walk where He walks and live how He lived.

 

Jesus showed courage when others were afraid. Jesus showed kindness when others were cruel. Jesus obeyed God when it was difficult. Jesus stood for truth even when it cost Him something. That is what real manhood looks like. The world often teaches that being a man means being tough, popular, wealthy, or powerful. Jesus showed us something better. He demonstrated that true strength comes from obedience to God.

 

Think about hiking through deep snow. The first person has to make the trail. Everyone behind simply places their feet in the same footprints. Jesus has already walked the trail of life. He has shown us where to step. The challenge for us is deciding whether we will follow Jesus or follow the crowd. The secret to becoming a great leader is first learning to be a great follower. Before David became king, he followed God. Before Joshua led Israel, he followed Moses. Before the disciples changed the world, they followed Jesus.

 

The world needs men who follow Christ more than they follow culture.

 

At Camporama you heard the challenge to “Be The Man.” The first step is simple: Follow the Man—Jesus.

Jesus, thank You for showing me how to live. Help me follow Your example every day. Give me courage to obey You even when others choose a different path. Amen.

Day 2 – A Man With a Plan

 

Key Verse

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 29:11)

A godly man trusts God’s plan even when he cannot see the whole picture.

 

Devotion

Have you ever started building something without reading the instructions? Maybe it was a model, a bike, a camp gadget, or a piece of furniture. At first you think, “I’ve got this.” Life works the same way. Many people spend years trying to figure out who they are and what they are supposed to do. They drift through life without direction. God never intended for you to drift. Before you were born, God had a purpose for your life.

 

You were not created by accident. You were not given your talents by accident. You were not placed in your family by accident. God has a plan for your life.

 

That doesn’t mean every detail is already mapped out for you. It means God created you with purpose and wants to guide your life.

 

David was a shepherd before he became a king.
Joseph was a slave before he became a ruler.
Daniel was a captive before he became a leader.

 

None of them could see the whole plan at the beginning. They simply trusted God one step at a time. Many boys worry about the future. What will I do? Where will I go? What will I become? The better question is this: Am I following God today? When you follow God today, He takes care of tomorrow.

1. What gifts has God given you?
2. How could God use those gifts?
3. Are you trusting God’s plan or trying to make your own?

 

Prayer

Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me trust Your plan for my life and follow You one step at a time. Amen.

Write down three talents or abilities God has given you and thank Him for each one.

 

Day 3 – Strong on the Inside

 

Key Verse

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” (Ephesians 3:16)

A godly man is strong on the inside before he is strong on the outside.

 

Devotion

When most people think about strength, they think about muscles. They picture athletes lifting weights, football players making tackles, or strong men carrying heavy loads. Physical strength is impressive. However, there is another kind of strength that matters even more—inner strength.

 

Inner strength is what keeps a man standing when everyone else gives up. It is what helps him do what is right when it would be easier to do what is wrong. It is what helps him keep going when life gets difficult. The Apostle Paul prayed that believers would be strengthened in their “inner being.” He knew that following Jesus requires more than physical strength; it requires spiritual strength.

 

Think about a tree. During a storm, the branches sway back and forth. The wind pushes against them. Rain pounds them. Yet many trees remain standing. Why? Because of what is beneath the surface. The roots are deep. The same is true in your life. When your roots are deep in God’s Word, prayer, and obedience, you become strong on the inside.

 

Daniel was strong on the inside. Even when a law was passed against praying, he continued to pray. Joseph was strong on the inside. Even when tempted to sin, he honored God. David was strong on the inside. Even when facing a giant, he trusted God. Their strength didn’t waiver because of their circumstances. They held steady and overcame because their strength came from God.

 

Every day you face challenges. Sometimes those challenges are obvious. Sometimes they are hidden. You may face pressure from friends. You may face temptation. You may face disappointment. You may face fear. The stronger you become spiritually, the better prepared you will be when those moments come.

 

Strong men are not simply built in the gym. They are built in prayer. They are built through obedience. They are built through time with God. Every day you spend with Jesus is making you stronger than you realize.

2. How can spending time with God to help you face it?
3. What habits are helping your spiritual roots grow deeper?

 

Prayer

Father, make me strong on the inside. Help me trust You when life is difficult and give me courage to obey You no matter what happens. Amen.

Spend ten minutes reading your Bible today and ask God to show you one way to grow stronger spiritually.

 

 

Day 4 – Standing Firm

 

Key Verse

“But when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room . . . Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed.” (Daniel 6:10)

A godly man stands firm even when standing alone.

 

Devotion

Have you ever seen a building being constructed? Before workers build upward, they spend a lot of time building downward. They dig foundations deep into the ground. Why? Because a weak foundation cannot support a strong building.

 

Daniel had a strong foundation. As a young man, he was taken far from home. Everything around him changed. Different people. Different cultures. Different beliefs. Yet Daniel remained faithful to God.

 

One of the greatest tests came when government leaders convinced the king to make a law that no one could pray to anyone except the king for thirty days. The punishment was severe. Anyone who disobeyed would be thrown into a den of lions. Daniel knew exactly what the law said. He also knew exactly what he was going to do. He prayed anyway.

 

Notice something important: Daniel did not suddenly become brave that day. He had been faithful long before the crisis came. His courage in the lion’s den started with his daily habits. Many boys want to be courageous when the big moments come. The secret is learning to be faithful in the small moments first.

 

Every time you tell the truth, you are building courage. Every time you obey God, you are building courage. Each time you choose what is right instead of what is popular, you are building courage. Eventually, the day comes when your faith is tested. That is when your foundation matters most.

 

At Camporama, you heard stories about men who stood for God. Now, it is your turn. You may never face a den of lions, but you will face situations where standing for Christ is not popular. Will you stand? Daniel did, and God honored him.

1. Have you ever felt pressure to do something wrong?
2. How did you respond?
3. What can you do now to strengthen your foundation?

 

Prayer

Lord, help me stand firm when my faith is tested. Give me courage to obey You even when others choose a different path. Amen.

Day 5 – Fueled by Prayer

 

Key Verse

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” (Luke 5:16)

A godly man stays connected to God through prayer.

 

Devotion

Every vehicle needs fuel. A truck cannot travel very far without gasoline. A camp lantern cannot shine without fuel or a battery. A phone eventually dies without being recharged. The same is true spiritually.

 

Prayer is one of the ways God refuels us. Many people think prayer is only something you do when there is a problem. They pray when they are scared. They pray when they are sick. They pray when they need help. There is nothing wrong with that. However, prayer is much more than an emergency tool.

 

Prayer is a relationship. Think about your best friend. If you only talked to him when you needed something, would that be much of a friendship? Probably not. Friendships grow through conversation. The same is true with God. Prayer is talking with your Heavenly Father.

 

One of the most surprising things in the Bible is that Jesus prayed often. Think about that. Jesus was the Son of God. He performed miracles. He taught crowds. He healed people. He changed lives. Yet He still made time to pray.

 

If Jesus needed regular time with the Father, how much more do we?

 

Prayer keeps us connected to God’s strength. Prayer helps us hear God’s voice. Prayer helps us trust God’s plan. Prayer reminds us that we are never alone. Some boys think they must use fancy words when they pray. You don’t.

 

God isn’t impressed by big words. He wants your heart. Talk to Him honestly. Thank Him for your blessings. Ask Him for help. Tell Him about your fears. Share your victories. Bring Him your questions. Prayer is not about saying perfect words. It is about spending time with the perfect Father.

 

One of the greatest habits you can develop after Camporama is daily prayer time. It does not have to be long. Start with five minutes. Then, keep growing. Just as exercise strengthens your body, prayer strengthens your spirit. The more you pray, the stronger your relationship with God becomes.

3. What time of day could become your regular prayer time?

 

Prayer

Father, thank You for listening when I pray. Help me make prayer a regular part of my life. Teach me to trust You, talk with You, and walk with You every day. Amen.

Set aside five uninterrupted minutes today to pray. Thank God for three blessings, ask Him for help in one area, and spend one minute quietly listening.

 

 

WEEK 2 – THE THINKING MAN

 

Day 6 – Winning the Battle for Your Mind

 

Key Verse

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)

A godly man fills his mind with God’s truth.

 

Devotion

Every battle is won or lost somewhere. In football, games are often won at the line of scrimmage. In the military, battles can be won through good strategy before the first shot is fired.

 

In your life, many battles are won or lost in your mind. What you think about shapes how you live. If you constantly think negative thoughts, you will begin to live negatively. If you believe in lies, you will make poor decisions. If you focus on what is wrong, you will struggle to see what God is doing. That is why Paul tells us to renew our minds.

 

The world is constantly trying to shape the way you think. Social media tells you what success looks like. Movies tell you what a man should be. Friends tell you what is popular. Culture tells you what matters. God wants His Word to shape your thinking.

 

Imagine wearing a pair of dirty sunglasses. Everything you see looks cloudy and distorted. When you clean the lenses, everything becomes clearer. God’s Word cleans the lenses of your mind. The more time you spend reading Scripture, the easier it becomes to recognize truth from lies.

 

Satan often attacks through thoughts. “You aren’t good enough.” “Nobody cares about you.” “You’ll never change.” “Everyone else is doing it.”

Those thoughts don’t come from God. God’s truth says:
“You are loved.”
“You have purpose.”
“You belong to Me.”
“I will never leave you.”

 

Every day you get to choose which voice you will believe. The strongest battles are often invisible. The strongest victories often begin with right thinking.

 

Think About It

1. What messages are influencing your thinking the most?
2. Are those messages helping you grow closer to God?
3. What truth from God’s Word do you need to remember today?

 

Prayer

Lord, help me recognize truth and reject lies. Renew my mind and teach me to think the way You think. Amen.

Memorize Romans 12:2 and repeat it several times throughout the day.

 

 

Day 7 – Wisdom Beats Knowledge

 

Key Verse

“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)

 

Be The Man Principle

A godly man seeks wisdom before making decisions.

 

Devotion

Knowledge and wisdom are not the same thing.

 

Knowledge is knowing that fire is hot. Wisdom is knowing not to touch it. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad. Many people have knowledge. Few have wisdom.

 

Today, you can learn almost anything in seconds. A quick search online can answer thousands of questions. Information alone does not make someone wise. Wisdom is knowing how to apply truth to real life. King Solomon became famous because he asked God for wisdom. He understood that making wise decisions was more important than gaining wealth or power.

 

Every day you make choices. Will you tell the truth? Will you obey your parents? Will you choose the right friends? Will you honor God when nobody is watching? Those decisions require wisdom.

 

Wisdom grows when you spend time with God, learn from His Word, and listen to godly people. One reason Royal Rangers emphasizes mentoring is because wise people help us avoid mistakes. You don’t have to learn every lesson the hard way. Learn from people who have already walked the trail. Listen to your leaders. Listen to your parents. Listen to godly men who care about you.

 

The smartest person in the room is not always the wisest. The wisest person is the one who listens to God.

2. What important decision are you facing right now?
3. Have you asked God for wisdom about it?

 

Prayer

Father, give me wisdom to make choices that honor You. Help me listen to Your voice and follow Your direction. Amen.

Ask a parent, pastor, or mentor to share one life lesson they wish they had learned sooner.

 

Day 8 – Think Like a Champion

 

Key Verse

“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8)

A godly man chooses his thoughts carefully.

 

Devotion

Champions understand something important. Before you can win on the outside, you must win on the inside.

 

Athletes spend countless hours training their bodies; however, they also train their minds. Why? Because attitude matters. Confidence matters. Focus matters. The same principle applies to your spiritual life.

 

Paul gave believers a list of things to focus on: truth, honor, purity, excellence, and goodness. Notice what Paul did not say. He did not tell us to fill our minds with fear. He did not tell us to focus on failure. He did not tell us to dwell on negativity. Instead, he challenged us to think about what is good and true.

 

What you feed grows. If you constantly feed fear, fear grows. If you constantly feed anger, anger grows. If you constantly feed faith, faith grows.

 

Many boys spend hours every week filling their minds with entertainment but very little time filling their minds with God’s truth. Imagine eating nothing but junk food for months. Eventually your body would suffer. The same thing happens mentally.

 

A healthy mind requires healthy input. The goal is not simply avoiding bad things. The goal is to fill your mind with good things. Think about Christ. Think about Scripture. Think about God’s faithfulness. Think about His promises. Think like a champion.

2. Does it draw you closer to God or farther away?
3. What positive truth can you focus on today?

 

Prayer

Jesus, help me think about things that honor You. Guard my mind and fill it with truth. Amen.

Replace one hour of entertainment today with reading Scripture, a devotional, or a Christian book.

 

Day 9 – Learning Never Stops

“Let the wise listen and add to their learning.” (Proverbs 1:5)

A godly man stays teachable.

 

Devotion

One of the biggest mistakes a person can make is believing he already knows everything.

 

The moment you stop learning, you stop growing. The best athletes never stop learning. The best leaders never stop learning. The best craftsmen never stop learning. The best followers of Jesus never stop learning. Even Jesus, as a boy, grew in wisdom and understanding.

 

God designed us to learn. Every experience teaches something. Every challenge teaches something. Every success teaches something. Every failure teaches something.

 

A teachable spirit is one of the most valuable qualities a young man can develop. Teachable people ask questions. Teachable people listen. Teachable people are willing to be corrected.

 

Pride says, “I already know.” Wisdom says, “I still have more to learn.” One reason Camporama exists is to help boys learn skills, develop character, and grow spiritually. Learning doesn’t stop when Camporama ends.

 

Keep reading. Keep asking questions. Keep growing.

 

The more you learn, the more opportunities God can place before you. Never stop becoming the man God created you to be.

Day 10 – Making Wise Decisions

A godly man makes decisions based on God’s wisdom not on emotions or pressure.

 

Devotion

Life is filled with decisions.

 

Some are small. What should I wear? What should I eat? Others are much bigger. Who should I spend time with? How should I respond to temptation? What kind of man do I want to become? The quality of your decisions shapes the quality of your life.

 

Good decisions rarely happen by accident. Wise decisions usually follow a process.

1. Ask what God says. If Scripture clearly speaks about an issue, the decision becomes much easier.
2. Pray. God promises wisdom to those who ask.
3. Seek wise counsel. God often uses parents, pastors, and mentors to help guide us.
4. Think about the consequences. Every choice leads somewhere.

 

Before making a decision, ask yourself: “Where will this choice take me?” One small decision today can impact your future for years.

 

Daniel decided to honor God. Joseph decided to resist temptation. David decided to trust God against Goliath. Those decisions shaped their lives. Your decisions matter too. Every day you are becoming someone. The choices you make today help determine who that someone will be. Choose wisely.

Father, help me make wise decisions. Teach me to seek Your guidance and trust Your wisdom above my own. Amen.

WEEK 3 – THE PHYSICAL MAN

 

Day 11 – God Gave You a Body

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

A godly man takes care of the body God has given him.

 

Devotion

When God created you, He didn’t just give you a spirit and a mind; he also gave you a body. Your body is a gift from God. That means it should be treated with respect.

 

Many boys think spiritual things matter to God but physical things do not. The Bible teaches something different. God cares about every part of your life, including how you care for your body.

 

Think about a truck. If you never change the oil, never check the tires, and never maintain it, eventually it will break down. The truck was designed to work well, but it still needs proper care. Your body is the same way. God designed your body to work, move, learn, serve, and accomplish His purposes.

 

Taking care of your body is not about becoming the strongest, fastest, or most athletic person around. It is about being a good steward of what God has entrusted to you. That means getting proper rest and exercising. It means making healthy choices and avoiding things that damage your body.

 

Jesus spent much of His ministry walking from town to town, teaching, serving, and helping people. His physical strength allowed Him to carry out His mission. Your body can be a tool that helps you serve God.

 

Whether you’re hiking, working, helping at church, serving on a mission trip, or playing sports, your physical health affects what you can do.

 

God has given you one body. Treat it as a gift.

Day 12 – Discipline Wins

Read 1 Corinthians 9:24–27.

“I disciple my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should do.” (1 Corinthians 9:27)

A godly man does what is right even when it is difficult.

 

Devotion

Most people admire champions. They see the trophies, the medals, and the victories. What they don’t always see are the early mornings, hard practices, and sacrifices. Champions are built through discipline.

 

Discipline means doing what needs to be done, even when you don’t feel like doing it. Anyone can work hard when they feel motivated. Discipline keeps going when motivation disappears.

 

The Apostle Paul compared the Christian life to an athlete preparing for competition. Athletes don’t become strong by accident. They train. They practice. They stay focused.

 

The same is true spiritually. Reading your Bible when you’re tired takes discipline. Praying regularly takes discipline. Telling the truth when it would be easier to lie takes discipline. Obeying your parents when you disagree takes discipline.

 

Every act of discipline strengthens your character. Think about building a fire. A few sticks thrown together create a quick flame. But a carefully built fire produces lasting heat.

 

Discipline creates lasting strength. The boys who become strong men are not always the most talented. Often they are simply the most disciplined. They show up. They do the work. They stay faithful.

 

Little choices repeated consistently create big results.

Day 13 – Strong for a Purpose

Read Judges 13–16.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord came powerfully upon him.” (Judges 14:6)

 

Be The Man Principle

A godly man uses his strength to serve others.

 

Devotion

When people hear the name Samson, they usually think of strength. And for good reason. God gave Samson incredible physical power. He could do things that seemed impossible. Samson’s story teaches an important lesson. Strength alone is not enough.

 

God never gives strength simply so we can impress others. He gives strength for a purpose. Samson often used his gifts selfishly. Instead of consistently honoring God, he frequently followed his own desires. As a result, much of his potential was wasted.

 

Many boys dream of becoming stronger. There is nothing wrong with that. But always remember why strength matters. Strength is not for showing off. Strength is for serving. Strength allows you to help others. Strength allows you to protect others. Strength allows you to work hard. Strength allows you to accomplish God’s purposes.

 

Jesus was the strongest man who ever lived—not because of physical power but because He used His life completely for God’s mission. Real strength is not measured by how much weight you can lift. Real strength is measured by how faithfully you use what God has given you.

 

God has given every person different abilities. Some are physically strong. Some are leaders. Some are encouragers. Some are problem-solvers.

 

Whatever your strengths are, use them for God’s glory.

Day 14 – Work Hard

 

Key Verse

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” (Colossians 3:23)

A godly man works hard and gives his best effort.

 

Devotion

Nobody likes chores. Well, almost nobody. Taking out the trash, mowing the lawn, cleaning a room, or completing homework may not feel exciting. But work is one of God’s tools for building character.

 

From the beginning, God gave people meaningful work. Adam cared for the garden. Noah built an ark. David watched sheep. Jesus worked as a carpenter before beginning His public ministry.

 

Work teaches responsibility. Work teaches perseverance. Work teaches excellence. One of the biggest lies in our culture is that success should come easily. The truth is that most worthwhile accomplishments require effort.

 

The boys who become dependable men learn how to work hard. They finish what they start. They don’t quit when things become difficult. They understand that character is often built through ordinary responsibilities.

 

Whether you’re studying for a test, helping your family, practicing a skill, or serving at church, do your best. Not because someone is watching. Not because you want recognition. But because you are ultimately serving God. Your attitude matters just as much as your effort.

 

Anyone can work hard when they are praised. Godly men work hard because excellence honors God.

Day 15 – Courage in Action

 

Key Verse

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid.” (Joshua 1:9)

 

Be The Man Principle

A godly man acts in faith even when he feels afraid.

 

Devotion

Everyone feels fear. Even brave people. Courage does not mean you are never afraid. Courage means doing what is right even when you are afraid.

 

Joshua understood this. After Moses died, Joshua was given the enormous responsibility of leading the people of Israel. Imagine the pressure. Hundreds of thousands of people were depending on him. Challenges were ahead. Enemies stood in the way. God knew Joshua would need courage. That is why He repeatedly told him, “Be strong and courageous.”

 

Notice that God did not say, “Joshua, you can handle this on your own.” Instead, God reminded Joshua that He would be with him. That is where true courage comes from—not confidence in yourself but confidence in God.

 

Many boys think courage only applies to dramatic moments. Courage is often found in ordinary situations. It takes courage to stand up for someone being treated unfairly. It takes courage to admit when you are wrong. It takes courage to invite a friend to church. It takes courage to say no to temptation. It takes courage to live for Christ in a world that doesn’t always understand.

 

Every day provides opportunities to be courageous. The question is not whether fear will show up. The question is whether faith will be stronger than fear. Joshua moved forward because he trusted God’s presence. You can too.

Day 16 – Choose Your Friends Wisely

Devotion

Have you ever noticed how people begin to act like the people they spend time with? A boy who hangs around hard workers often becomes a hard worker. A boy who spends time with positive people often becomes more positive. A boy who spends time with people making bad choices often begins making bad choices himself.

 

The people around you influence who you become. That is why the Bible places such importance on friendship. Friends can help you become the man God created you to be, or they can pull you away from God’s plan. Think about a campfire. A single coal removed from the fire slowly grows cold. However, when it remains with the other coals, it stays hot. The same is true spiritually.

 

God designed us to grow alongside other believers. David had Jonathan. Paul had Timothy. Jesus had His disciples. None of them walked alone. Good friends encourage you to do what is right. Good friends tell you the truth. Good friends support you when life gets difficult. Good friends help you grow closer to God.

 

Not every friend will be a close friend. You can be kind to everyone while still being careful about who influences your life. Ask yourself this question: “Am I becoming more like Jesus because of the people I spend time with?” If the answer is yes, keep building those friendships. If the answer is no, it may be time to make some changes.

 

The people you walk with today help determine where you will be tomorrow. Choose wisely.

Everyone enjoys having friends when life is easy. The true test of friendship comes when life gets hard.

That is when real friendship matters.

 

The Bible says a brother is born for adversity. In other words, godly friends show up when they are needed most. Think about David and Jonathan. Jonathan knew David would one day become king. Instead of becoming jealous, he encouraged David and supported him. He chose loyalty over selfishness. That is what brothers do.

 

Royal Rangers has always emphasized brotherhood. When boys camp together, learn together, serve together, and worship together, strong friendships are formed. Brotherhood is more than sharing experiences. Brotherhood means caring about each other. It means noticing when someone is struggling. It means offering encouragement. It means helping someone who has fallen. It means standing beside people when they need support.

 

Jesus demonstrated this kind of friendship. He cared for people. He listened to people. He helped people. He loved people. Being a relational man means learning to put others before yourself.

 

The world often says, “Look out for yourself.” Jesus says, “Love one another.”

 

Real men build others up.

Day 18 – Respect Matters

One word can build someone up. One word can tear someone down. How we treat people matters.

 

Respect is becoming less common in our world. People interrupt each other. People insult each other online. People mock those who disagree with them. God calls His people to live differently.

 

Respect means treating others with dignity because they are created in the image of God. Respect begins at home. How do you speak to your parents? How do you treat your siblings? How do you respond when someone corrects you? Respect extends to teachers, leaders, coaches, pastors, and friends. Even more importantly, respect extends to people who are different from us.

 

Jesus consistently treated people with dignity. He respected people whom others ignored. He cared for people whom others rejected. He saw value where others saw problems.

 

Real strength is not found in demanding respect. Real strength is found in showing respect. People may not always remember what you said, but they will remember how you treated them.

 

One of the marks of a godly man is that people feel valued when they are around him.

3. What would change if you treated everyone as someone made in God’s image?

Day 19 – Serve Like Jesus

Most people want to be important. They want recognition. They want attention. They want others to notice them. Jesus turned that idea upside down. Although He was the Son of God, He chose to serve. He washed His disciples’ feet. He helped people. He healed people. He cared for people. His greatness was revealed through service.

 

Think about some of the most respected people you know. Often they are not the loudest people in the room. They are the people who quietly help others. The coach who invests in kids. Your outpost leader who sacrifices for each of you. The volunteer who serves faithfully. Your parent who works hard every day.

 

Service is one of the clearest demonstrations of Christlike character. Serving teaches humility. Serving teaches compassion. Serving teaches responsibility.

 

The world says greatness is measured by how many people serve you. Jesus says greatness is measured by how many people you serve. Every day gives you opportunities. You can help someone. Encourage someone. Carry a burden. Meet a need. Offer assistance. Little acts of service often make a big difference.

 

The strongest men are not always the ones with the most power. Often, they are the ones most willing to serve.

A godly man lives in a way that points others to Jesus.

 

Devotion

Every man leaves something behind as a legacy. Some leave buildings. Some leave businesses. Some leave inventions. The greatest legacy you can leave is people whose lives have been changed because of your influence.

 

Paul invested in Timothy. Timothy invested in others. Those people invested in still more people. That is how the gospel spread across the world.

 

Legacy is not about becoming famous. Legacy is about making a difference.

 

Right now, you may think you are too young to influence others. You’re not. Someone is watching you—a younger sibling, a friend, a teammate, or another Ranger. Your example matters. The choices you make today influence people around you. When you show kindness, people notice. When you demonstrate integrity, people notice. When you stand for Christ, people notice.

 

One day, many years from now, what kind of man do you want to be? Do you want people to remember that you were popular or that you loved God? Do you want people to remember what you owned or how you treated others? Do you want people to remember your achievements or your faithfulness?

 

The best legacy is a life that points others to Jesus.

 

As this four-week journey comes to an end, remember that becoming a man of God is not a one-time decision. It is a lifelong journey. Every day you choose whether you will follow Jesus. Every day you choose what kind of man you will become.

 

The theme of Camporama was simple: Be The Man.

 

Not the man culture wants you to be. Not the man others expect you to be. Be the man God created you to be. And when you do, your life will leave a legacy that lasts far beyond your years.
